$3,000 Sign-On Bonus - Paid in installments following successful completion of introductory employment milestones. Overview Behavioral Health Choices is seeking a highly skilled Independent Therapist (LISW or LPCC) to provide advanced clinical services to individuals experiencing mental health and substance use disorders (SUD). This position is designed for an independently licensed clinician who can diagnose and treat patients autonomously without supervision. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical judgment, extensive experience with dual diagnosis populations, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in both individual and group settings. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments and provide formal mental health and SUD diagnoses Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Provide individual, family, and group counseling using advanced therapeutic techniques Deliver crisis intervention and stabilization services Facilitate and support Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP), including educational and therapeutic group sessions Conduct urine drug screens in accordance with substance use monitoring protocols Coordinate with case managers to ensure continuity of care across levels of treatment Assist patients in accessing community resources, support groups, and aftercare services Ensure timely, accurate, and thorough documentation of assessments, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in accordance with agency policy and regulatory standards Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field Active Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) license in the State of Ohio Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with significant experience treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders Experience facilitating IOP and group therapy preferred Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, internet systems)
