The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $31.60 - $47.40. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc. Job Summary Responsible for providing direct counseling and support to individuals experiencing a mental illness and/or substance use disorders. Individual counseling and support including vocational and/or educational planning and goal setting, job development, job placement, and follow-along support. The majority of work is community-based.
Details of the position:
Works as a member of a multidisciplinary team by participating in weekly case review meetings, collaborative treatment planning, and supporting individual progress through integrated care. Helps clients establish and achieve goals of competitive employment within the mainstream community. Helps clients achieve educational goals that lead to gainful competitive employment. Completes initial assessments with all clients and documents ongoing progress in an electronic medical record. Conducts job and education development by actively recruiting, engaging, and offering ongoing support to employers and schools. Assists individuals who are experiencing psychosis to develop and practice coping strategies to use at school and work. Helps clients establish health insurance and income through public benefits and work incentive programs as appropriate. Performs other duties as assigned.

Driver's License and ability to transport clients in a PeaceHealth vehicle. Must meet PeaceHealth Driver Standards which includes no major alcohol or drug-related convictions within the past 3 years and
Required:
Upon Hire Basic Life Support Skills Knowledge and understanding of symptoms of psychosis. (Required) Ability to recruit and establish a network of potential employers and academic programs. (Required) Ability to provide assessment and crisis intervention with individuals experiencing acute psychological distress. (Required) Skills in conflict resolution and advocacy. (Required) Strong problem solving, critical thinking, work ethic, interpersonal and team building skills. (Required) General knowledge of behavioral healthcare environment and healthcare delivery systems. (Required) Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. (Required) Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications. (Required) Working Conditions Lifting Consistently operates computer and other office equipment. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work. Environmental Conditions Predominantly operates in an office environment. Mental/Visual Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
