Job Description

Jackson County Mental Health is seeking an ACT Therapist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team. The ACT Team focuses on delivering intensive, community-based, therapeutically informed support to individuals facing severe and persistent mental illnesses. Our multi-disciplinary team is dedicated to providing comprehensive treatment and personalized care plans, aimed at promoting recovery and enhancing quality of life. We emphasize collaboration, evidence-based practices, and a client-centered approach to ensure that each individual receives the tailored support they need to thrive in their community and achieve their goals. We provide ongoing training specific to this program and applicable to overall counseling skills. This is a public service job that also provides ample opportunity to develop skills transferrable to other work settings. Jackson County strives to recruit, hire and retain the best employees! Pre-Employment Requirements Must be certified or eligible for certification as a QMHP with the Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO). Preferred candidates will be looking for an opportunity to provide meaningful services to some of the most disenfranchised among us. Seeking candidates who are comfortable navigating multiple systems, assisting people in distress and who able to maintain a calm disposition under pressure.
Preferred work experience:
With justice involved individuals. With those experiencing behavioral health crisis. With co-occurring substance use disorders. With unhoused and historically underserved community members. Pass a criminal background check prior to hire. Submit an acceptable DMV certified court print prior to hire. This position is represented by union group SEIU.
Pay:
$31.75 - $42.47 per hour
