Videos Duties Help The Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP) Supervisor is a clinical and administrive position th provides direct supervisory responsibilities over the clinical, training and administrive areas of the BHIP staff within the Outpient Behavioral Health Division. Supervisory Responsibilities (approximely 25%) Supervises BHIP teams and provides management of the team's daily operions and adheres to nional standards. Performs comprehensive staff management by setting clear guidelines and expections, monitoring performance, providing feedback, resolving grievances, developing improvement plans, advising employees, handling disciplinary actions, approving leave requests, and ensuring compliance with safety regulions. Psychologists when available. The supervisor is responsible for providing clinical supervision and instruction for psychology interns. Provides a full range of diagnostic and evaluion services, especially in the areas of psychological evaluion and suicide assessment. Provides a full range of psychological interventions consistent with training and expertise, with special emphasis on evidenced-based trements. Develops, implements, and documents the psychotherapeutic trement plan for an assigned caseload of pients, including prompt completion of clinical reminders.
Provides administrive duties including:
Scheduling of Veterans and reled issues, returning Veterans' phone calls and secure messages, writing reports, and tending organizional meetings. Attends and participes in administrive and informional meetings held by the Chief of Behavioral Health Service Line, Chief of Outpient Behavioral Health/Chief Psychologist, Chief of Staff, and facility Director. Other colleral duties as assigned.

Hold a master's or doctoral degree in: Clinical Mental Health Counseling; Clinical Rehabilition Counseling; Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Clinical Rehabilition Counseling; or a reled field, from a program accredited by the Council on Accredition of Counseling and Reled Educional Programs (CACREP). Examples of reled mental health counseling fields include, but are not limited to Addiction Counseling; Community Counseling; Gerontology Counseling; Marital, Couple, and Family Counseling. Licensure :
Persons hired or reassigned to LPMHC positions in the GS-0183 series in VHA must hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to independently practice as a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor, which includes diagnosis and trement.
NOTE:
Loss of Licensure-Once licensed, LPMHCs must maintain a full, valid, and unrestricted license to independently practice mental health counseling, which includes diagnosis and trement. Loss of licensure will result in removal from the
GS-0183 LPMHC
occupion and may result in terminion of employment. May qualify based on being covered by the Grandfhering Provision as described in the VA Qualificion Standard for this occupion (only applicable to current VHA employees who are in this occupion and meet the criteria).

Experience, Educion, and Licensure:
In addition to the basic requirements, candides must have least one year of progressively complex experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. Experience must demonstre possession of advanced practice skills, judgment, and competency.
Assignments:
At this level, LPMHCs administrively supervise their licensed staff and/or gradues and are considered LPMHC subject mter experts and may serve as the discipline lead. LPMHCs may provide trement to pients. They direct the development and implemention of services and trement to pients through the administrive supervision, mentoring, and oversight of assigned clinical staff. Their experience must demonstre practice skills in a specialty area or in administrion demonstring progressively more professional competency and judgment.

Ability to administrively supervise other providers and conduct meetings. 2. Ability to maintain a professional environment by following organizional policies, guidelines and safety standards. 3.
