Job Description

Impact Behavioral Health Partners seeks a Bilingual Therapist to provide a range of strength-based, person-centered services to Impact's participants that will promote their recovery, independence, and community integration. The position is suited for an independent self-starter. Someone who can work flexibly in a hybrid work setting, providing services both remotely and in person, is more likely to do well. To perform the job successfully, a competent candidate must be able to gather and analyze information effectively, solve problems in a timely manner, respond promptly to participant needs, manage difficult or emotional participant situations, maintain confidentiality and discretion, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, and constantly look for ways to improve the quality and process of services. The Bilingual Therapist is part of a multidisciplinary clinical team that includes a Division Director of Clinical Services, Clinical Supervisors, an Intake Coordinator, Clinical Case Managers, and Therapists. The Bilingual Therapist reports to a Clinical Supervisor.
Compensation:
Annual salary starts at $52,000 per year. Performance-based incentives of up to $400 per month are possible. Supervision for clinical licensure is provided at no cost to the employee. An unlicensed Bilingual Therapist can earn a one-time bonus of $500 after they have been employed at Impact for at least one year and successfully obtain a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) certification. A Bilingual Therapist can also earn a one-time bonus of $1,000 after they have been employed at Impact at least one year and obtain a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification.

o Paid Time Off 25 days of Paid Time Off (PTO), 13 paid holidays, and 2 paid floating holidays each year. o Parental Leave Gestational and non-gestational parents on staff are entitled to 4 weeks of fully paid parental leave to bond with a newborn or newly adopted child of theirs. o Childbirth-Related Medical Leave Staff who give birth to a child are entitled to 2 weeks of fully paid leave to help recover from medical issues related to giving birth. o Health Insurance HMO or PPO health insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield is provided at no monthly premium cost to the employee, for plans that do not include a spouse or children. o Dental and Vision Insurance Dental and/or vision insurance is available at affordable monthly costs. o 401(k) Impact will match 401(k) contributions, up to 2% of an employee's salary. o Employee Assistance Program (EAP) The EAP provides each employee with up to 5 free counseling sessions per problem, per year, at no cost to the employee. o Mileage Reimbursement Employees are reimbursed 72.5 cents per mile driven for work-related purposes, not including commuting to and from home.
Location:
This is a hybrid position. The person in this position should expect to spend approximately 40% of their time working in person. In person work will most often occur in natural community settings, including on site at Impact's residential locations in Evanston and Skokie. The ability to work remotely from home may be possible at times but cannot be guaranteed at all times.
Schedule:
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Flexible scheduling may be available to accommodate employee needs outside of work but cannot be guaranteed. The Bilingual Therapist may occasionally need to be available to work a flexible schedule in some instances to accommodate participants with special needs, and in other instances to assure adequate clinical team coverage. Staff may end their workday at 1:00 pm on Fridays if they have successfully completed their weekly job requirements.
Core Responsibilities:
Provide direct service to program participants in alignment with the clinical team's therapeutic strategies that are developed for each participant. Independently manage a caseload of 25 to 35 individuals. Provide therapy to individuals who prefer to speak to a Therapist in Spanish. Provide a range of services that include but are not limited to community support services (counseling, skills training, therapy, case management), medication training, group counseling/therapy/psychoeducation, team-based case coordination, crisis intervention, skills training in activities of daily living, and discharge planning. Fully promote and participate in the integration of Housing First, Harm Reduction, and Trauma-Informed Care approaches across all services. Complete documentation of all relevant participant activities, such as progress notes, initial and on-going assessments (IM+CANS, LOCUS), crisis assessment/safety plans, critical incident reports, etc. in a timely manner. Meet all established billing requirements. Be available and provide coverage to staff and participants on an on-call basis after regular business hours as needed and assigned. As needed, provide participants with hands-on training and education on how to clean, cook, do laundry, shop, maintain an apartment, and manage other activities of daily living. This may require lifting and carrying small items.

Maintain confidentiality and discretion. Look for ways to improve quality of processes and services. Help design new workflows and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
The Bilingual Therapist must be a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and have a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling, a master's degree in social work (MSW), a master's degree in psychology, or a master's degree in another field related to mental health, human services, or social services. Must be fluent in English and Spanish. Must be able to balance team and individual responsibilities, contribute to building a positive team spirit and morale, help develop team skills and encourage growth, solicit and apply collegial feedback from coworkers, and actively participate in team meetings. Working knowledge of pertinent software, such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Electronic Health Records (EHR) software. Must have a private office area and reliable internet access while working remotely. Must have a valid driver's license. Must have access to a reliable car. Must obtain and maintain a $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury and liability auto insurance policy. Proof of insurance must be provided at least annually.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional experience as a mental health counselor or a mental health therapist. Knowledge of Medicaid billing requirements and training in the IM+CANS. Demonstrated experience in and commitment to providing services from a harm reduction approach. Mental Health First Aid Certification.

Ability to twist, turn, bend, climb stairs, and lift as required to perform the duties associated with this job.
