  • Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Peer Recovery Specialist to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals facing behavioral health challenges.
In this role, you will serve as a trusted peer supporter, leveraging your lived experience with mental health conditions and recovery to inspire hope, foster resilience, and promote wellness. Your energetic approach will empower clients to navigate their recovery journeys through compassionate guidance, crisis intervention, and motivational support. This paid position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment committed to holistic, person-centered care. Responsibilities Provide peer support by sharing personal recovery experiences to motivate and empower individuals with mental health conditions and co-occurring disorders. Conduct crisis intervention and crisis management to de-escalate situations and ensure safety for clients and staff. Utilize behavioral health knowledge and motivational interviewing techniques to assist clients in developing recovery goals. Offer mentoring and social work support tailored to each individual's needs, promoting engagement in treatment plans. Assist clients with harm reduction strategies, medication adherence, and connecting to community resources. Document interactions accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with privacy standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans that address mental health, addiction counseling, and social services. Experience Lived experience with mental health conditions or substance use recovery, with certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist. Demonstrated skills in crisis intervention, crisis management, and behavioral health support. Experience working with individuals experiencing co-occurring disorders or mental health conditions. Knowledge of addiction counseling principles, harm reduction strategies, and motivational interviewing techniques. Background in social work or related fields preferred but not required; strong mentoring skills are essential. Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for documentation purposes is highly desirable. Join us in creating a supportive environment where recovery is possible!
