Job Description
The Oak Center was formed by four therapists in December 2020 out of a shared passion to increase access to comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for teens and adults in Central Missouri. To further meet the needs of our community, we also provide other evidence-based counseling services (EMDR, ACT, CPT, CBT, etc.). Therapists will be able to choose their own clinical hours based on their needs and preferences. Our values are Dignity, Radical Genuineness, and Balancing Acceptance and Change. We live out these values not only in how we treat our clients, but also in how we interact with one another, operate our business, and engage the community. Mission Statement The Oak Center is committed to improving quality of life for our clients, their family members, and the community by increasing access to evidence-based mental health treatment, education, and resources. We do this to instill hope, reduce emotional suffering, and decrease psychiatric hospitalizations and deaths by suicide. When you become a contracted therapist with The Oak Center, you are joining a small community of dedicated and passionate therapists who want to see you thrive. We are client-focused and value-driven. Our mission to increase access to mental health treatment in our community includes intentionally expanding the number of providers offering DBT and other counseling services at our center. We are interested in hiring both part-time and full-time therapists, to work either in office, remotely, or a hybrid situation that meets your needs! As a contracted therapist with The Oak Center, we require the following as a part of your contract to cover costs, comply with pertinent laws, and fulfill our organization's mission: Obtain your own business entity (LLC) Obtain your own EIN (Tax ID number) Proof of Licensure Proof of Professional Liability Insurance (we can assist with acquiring if needed) Panel with at least one government insurer (i.e. MO HealthNet, Medicare, etc.) and at least two private insurance companies (i.e. United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, etc.) A bio and headshot for our website Furnish your own office (if working in-office) Utilize our contracted billing service, SM Coding and Billing, LLC, which charges 7% of your monthly revenue.
