WE NEED A UNIQUE INDIVIDUAL TO RUN A NEW VIRTUAL IOP PROGRAM.
!! Preferably in recovery, a CASAC, experienced in facilitating 3 hour IOP groups and experience in working in an OASAS licensed program!! Great working environment. Join our dedicated team as a Full-Time Addiction Counselor – CASAC (Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor) and make a meaningful impact on individuals seeking recovery and mental health support. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive clinical counseling services, utilizing evidence-based practices to guide clients through their journey toward wellness. Your expertise will help empower clients to overcome addiction challenges, improve their mental health, and rebuild their lives with confidence. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and intake interviews, to develop personalized treatment plans. Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients experiencing acute mental health or substance use crises. Maintain detailed medical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and compliance with OASAS regulations to ensure confidentiality and accuracy. Collaborate with our team to coordinate care plans, case management activities, and community-based services for clients. Qualifications Valid CASAC certification with experience in addiction counseling or clinical behavioral health settings. STRONG organizational skills. Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to handle complex cases involving substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Effective communication skills for engaging patients across individual and group therapy settings while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
