Position Overview Gotham Enterprises Ltd is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a full-time capacity. Our office specializes in outpatient mental health services, focusing on culturally sensitive therapeutic practices. This remote position will allow you to engage with patients while providing support and interventions that promote mental well-being and resilience. Work Environment The position is based in Reston, Virginia, with a fully remote work setting available. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that are culturally sensitive, enabling you to understand each patient's individual experiences and formulate personalized treatment plans. Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to meet individual needs, adjusting strategies as necessary to align with cultural backgrounds and personal goals. Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions designed to address a range of mental health concerns while promoting overall resilience and well-being. Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and proactive care for our patients. Provide crisis intervention strategies and support during mental health emergencies, displaying calmness and efficacy under pressure. Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to empower them in their recovery journeys. Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential documentation of patient interactions in adherence to legal and ethical standards. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and cultural competency training sessions to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge. Stay abreast of current research, best practices in mental health therapy, and community resources to better support our patients. Patient Population / Client Focus Our services predominantly cater to a diverse patient population, including individuals from various ethnicities, sexual orientations, and cultural backgrounds. As a therapist, you will have the opportunity to work closely with those facing unique challenges such as acculturation stress, discrimination, and mental health stigma, ultimately making a significant difference in their lives. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Virginia. A robust understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment methodologies, and the importance of cultural competency in the therapeutic process. Experience delivering individual, family, and group therapy using inclusive approaches that acknowledge and respect diverse cultural contexts. Exceptional crisis intervention skills and a proven ability to maintain composure in challenging situations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, emphasizing the capacity to build trust and rapport with patients from various backgrounds. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software tools to document patient care effectively. A commitment to uphold ethical standards and professional boundaries, ensuring patient confidentiality at all times. A collaborative approach to working within a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Experience Experience working in outpatient mental health settings focused on diverse and multicultural populations. Previous training or experience in culturally responsive therapeutic practices and community outreach initiatives. Background in crisis management or emergency psychiatric support services. Compensation and Benefits This position offers an attractive salary range between $70,000 and $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and credentials.
