  • 6/8/2026 Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of 8-15 individuals committed to secure care.
Conduct individual long-term trauma focused therapy with youth in secure facilities. Conduct family therapy with youth in secure settings. Refer clients to other available services to meet needs where appropriate. Conduct Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) groups, as well as other groups as needed, and training in the facilities and serve as a resource for facility and program staff in promoting and teaching DBT. Consult with other professionals, including other clinicians, nurses, medical management providers, case managers, and facility staff, as needed to ensure a holistic approach, coordination of care and case management. Prepare mental health assessments by obtaining background information such as physical, psychological or mental health, and social factors that contribute to the client's situation and by studying case histories of clients/residents. Document clinical services in the DHHS electronic health record platform. Facilitate the use of research data to improve existing programs and utilization of resources. Deliver presentations, stand up training, or instruction to staff, management, clients, or the general public. Write or draft correspondence, reports, documents and/or other written materials. Qualifications Is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Professional Counselor. Has experience developing and conducting group therapy sessions. Experience using Evidence Based Practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Motivational Interviewing Has a valid Utah Driver's License. This position may be filled as an Associate Licensed Clinical Therapist; Interns in their second year of a masters program in one of the above listed professions may be considered. Supplemental Information Utah State DOPL requires a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (or Certified Social Worker working towards licensure), Certified Social Worker Intern working towards full licensure, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Professional Mental Health Counselor (or Associate Mental Health Counselor working towards licensure). A PhD in Behavioral Health field may also be accepted.
