Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a fully licensed therapist to join our team at Haven Wellness. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, flexible, experienced, and passionate about working with the perinatal population (conception through early parenthood), individuals living with chronic illnesses, or young adults. This role would also be a good fit for clinicians who value their independence, but still want to feel part of a supportive team. Haven Wellness is a small group practice that operates out of two locations in Ann Arbor, MI. We value collaboration and provide biweekly group consultation for all clinicians, as well as biannual meet-ups with other perinatal practitioners. We offer flexible options including hybrid, work-from-home, or in office opportunities. We celebrate diversity and encourage folks from all backgrounds to apply. Duties Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to inform treatment planning. Deliver therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based approaches (extra consideration given for those trained in EMDR or IFS) Implement crisis intervention techniques to manage acute mental health episodes effectively while ensuring client safety. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical guidelines, patient needs, and medical records standards; monitor progress regularly. Maintain accurate clinical documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR), including progress notes, medical records, and billing codes such as CPT coding. Collaborate with prescribers when necessary Provide specialized care for perinatal clients, clients with trauma, or clients living with chronic illnesses Requirements Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent credential Proven experience working in outpatient mental health settings Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic modalities including psychotherapy techniques like motivational interviewing, trauma-focused therapies, Internal Family Systems (IFS) or Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Proficiency in crisis management protocols and crisis intervention strategies; experience handling emergency situations effectively. Familiarity with clinical documentation standards, HIPAA compliance, and telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions. Ability to conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and treatment planning while adhering to clinical ethical guidelines. Excellent communication skills for client engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration; experience working within EMR/EHR systems is a plus. Knowledge of couples counseling techniques or strategies for working with addiction are a plus Thank you for considering working with Haven Wellness!
