Job Description
Join our dynamic mental health team as a Licensed Counselor, where you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive behavioral health services to diverse populations. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve personal growth through evidence-based therapies. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing modalities such as psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management techniques to support clients experiencing acute mental health episodes or trauma, including PTSD care and grief counseling. Provide specialized services for children, adolescents, and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), incorporating behavior management and social skills training. Facilitate intake assessments and develop personalized treatment plans aligned with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers—to coordinate patient care effectively. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using ICD coding conventions; ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy standards. Engage in clinical research initiatives to improve therapeutic approaches and contribute to evidence-based practices within behavioral health. Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote counseling sessions while ensuring confidentiality and technical proficiency. Stay current with developments in psychopharmacology, CPT coding, ICD updates, and best practices in mental health treatment. Valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or equivalent credential required. Proven experience in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, or behavioral health settings—preferably including outpatient or inpatient environments.
