Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Counselor to join our mental health and behavioral services team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical counseling, with expertise in psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and behavioral health management. As a Licensed Counselor, you will provide comprehensive mental health support, conduct diagnostic evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans to promote patient well-being. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on clients' lives through evidence-based practices and empathetic care.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate group therapy and individual counseling sessions for clients. Conduct initial assessments , develop individualized treatment plans , and perform ongoing evaluations . Provide relapse prevention, and support recovery from substance use disorders. Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with HIPAA and organizational standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical staff, social workers, and case managers. Coordinate with external agencies, referral sources, and family members to support client care. Participate in treatment team meetings, staff training, and quality assurance initiatives. Ensure compliance with state licensing , grant requirements , and clinical best practices . •
Qualifications:
Current LPC or LCSW License . Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in substance use treatment. Strong knowledge of ASAM criteria , and trauma-informed care practices. Experience supervising staff and leading clinical teams. Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with electronic health records (EHRs)Motivational Interviewing, CBT, or DBT certification/training •
Work Environment:
Primarily office-based with some remote service delivery if required. May involve evening hours or rotating schedules to meet client needs.
