Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Clinician to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based psychotherapy to diverse populations, including adults 18 years and older. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex emotional and behavioral challenges, fostering resilience and promoting overall well-being. You will utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and group therapy, ensuring high-quality patient care in both outpatient and telehealth settings. Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine appropriate treatment strategies. Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and evidence-based practices. Provide individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy utilizing modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and trauma-focused approaches. Implement crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols to support clients experiencing acute emotional distress or behavioral emergencies. Utilize EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation, medical records management, and clinical data collection while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Engage in case management activities including patient assessment, treatment planning, progress monitoring, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. Maintain professional growth through ongoing research participation, clinical research activities, and staying current with ICD coding updates and medical terminology. Experience Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in outpatient or inpatient settings with a focus on mental health counseling. Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy (TFT), psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), including behavior management strategies. Background in crisis intervention, crisis management, addiction counseling, grief counseling, and PTSD care. Familiarity with telehealth platforms for delivering clinical counseling services effectively remotely. Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), medical documentation standards, HIPAA compliance, and clinical ethical guidelines. Experience working with co-occurring disorders or individuals with complex mental health needs in outpatient or inpatient environments is highly desirable.
