Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' substance abuse history and related mental health conditions. Develop individualized treatment plans that address both addiction and any underlying mental health issues, ensuring they align with clients' personal goals. Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices that promote active participation and sustained recovery. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team to create a cohesive and integrated care plan, involving regular meetings to discuss client progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed. Provide education and support to clients' families, enhancing their understanding of the recovery process and how they can best contribute to their loved one's healing journey. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of client progress and treatment interventions, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies. Patient Population / Client Focus You will work with a diverse clientele primarily composed of individuals seeking recovery from substance abuse disorders, often accompanied by co-occurring mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, or trauma-related conditions. The role requires sensitivity and awareness of the complexities surrounding addiction, necessitating a non-judgmental and empathetic approach to therapy. Qualifications A valid professional license as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or PsyD in the state of New Jersey. A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field. Specialized training or significant experience in addiction counseling, particularly in treating substance use disorders. Strong understanding of evidence-based practices relevant to substance abuse treatment and co-occurring disorders. Exemplary therapeutic and counseling skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and support clients throughout their recovery journey. Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities, fostering a spirit of teamwork across all levels of the organization. Preferred Experience Experience working in a substance abuse treatment setting, preferably with comprehensive knowledge of addiction recovery models. Proficiency with clinical software and electronic health record (EHR) systems to track and manage client information efficiently. Evidence of continuous professional development, particularly in methods of treating substance use and related mental health disorders. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary ranging from
USD 80,000
to 100,000 yearly based on your experience and credentials.
