Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Outpatient Therapists to join our team. The ideal candidates will provide therapeutic support to clients in various settings, focusing on mental health and emotional well-being. This role requires a strong understanding of diverse populations, including children, individuals with disabilities, and those facing addiction challenges. The Outpatient Therapists will work collaboratively with clients to develop personalized treatment plans and facilitate group therapy sessions. This role will be an independent contractor role and will receive a 1099 for tax purposes. Your own liability and worker's comp insurance is required. Duties Work as part of a team, with staff and with families. Create an environment in which the family feels part of the team and knows the importance of their input. Complete all documentation required in a timely manner, including but not limited to activity logs, progress notes, intake paperwork, client comprehensive intake assessments, termination summaries, and/or treatment plans. Provide all documentation directly to and report to the assigned Clinical Director and/or the Program Manager. Meet regularly for individual and team supervision as needed and set forth by the Clinical Director and/or the Outpatient Clinic's management team. Attend all required staff meetings/trainings. Discuss all cases as part of supervision in a weekly and/or biweekly and/or monthly format dependent on credential level. Attend in person supervision, as needed, as required by licensing board. Follow all ethical standards set forth by state licensing board which issues your license. Follow standards/guidelines set forth by HIPAA and protect all client PHI. Qualifications Comprehensive knowledge surrounding the counseling process including but not limited to intake assessments, regular treatment planning and review, and discharge summaries. Familiarity with various theoretical orientations conducive to providing progress with urban, non-profit populations. Familiarity with youth client populations ranging in age from 4-20 & with contacting the DCP&P hotline if abuse/neglect is reported/suspected. Familiarity with the Outpatient Clinic's standardized assessment for this program, "Child Adolescent Functional Assessment Scale". Familiarity with adult client populations ranging from 21-65 years old. Familiarity with the Outpatient Clinic's standardized assessment for this program, the "Quality of Life Inventory. Electronic health record knowledge and application will be required for all documentation. Capability to successfully manage e-signature software. Must be available between 3:00 and 8:00 pm Must be culturally aware and sensitive• Computer literate/electronic records experience Education And/Or Experience A minimum of a Master's Degree in counseling, social work, or a related field from an accredited university. Licensed or licensure-eligible, at minimum, as an associate counselor or social worker in the state of New Jersey (LAC, LPC, LSW, LCSW). Experienced with individual and family outpatient counseling modalities. Experience with telehealth and tele-counseling services including HIPAA compliant software for conducting audio/visual tele-sessions. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
