Full Job Description Overview:
Destination Psychiatry is one of the leading private psychiatric care practices in Waterbury, CT. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health services to a diverse clientele. This is a 1099 contract position with flexible scheduling. For the right fit, this position has the potential to transition into an employee role with additional benefits and opportunities for growth within the practice.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client, including those with developmental disabilities Provide psychotherapy using a variety of therapeutic modalities Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic care Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and professional development opportunities Perform other related duties as needed
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Counseling from an accredited institution Current licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in mental health counseling Experience with clients across the lifespan and with varied mental health concerns is a plus
