Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate (LPC-A) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) operating on a fee-for-service basis to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide high-quality psychotherapy and counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, manage crises, and work toward meaningful recovery. Duties Conduct comprehensive intake assessments, including diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards, to determine client needs and develop tailored treatment plans. Deliver individual, and family therapy sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during acute episodes. Provide specialized counseling services addressing trauma-related issues such as PTSD, grief counseling, addiction counseling, gender issues counseling, and chronic pain management. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts and ensure continuity of care across inpatient and outpatient settings. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including detailed notes on patient care, assessments, treatment progress, and medical terminology. Engage in clinical research activities when applicable, contributing to data collection efforts that support ongoing program development and quality improvement initiatives. Experience Proven experience in psychotherapy or clinical counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings. Demonstrated expertise in working with children and adolescents, including those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, or special education needs. Familiarity with crisis management protocols and behavior management techniques for individuals with complex behavioral challenges. Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations using ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) and CPT coding for billing purposes. Strong background in social work or mental health counseling with an emphasis on trauma-informed care for diverse populations. Knowledge of telehealth platforms and delivering services via telehealth experience is preferred. Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing PTSD, Geriatrics populations, or those requiring psychopharmacology collaboration. Excellent communication skills for intake procedures, patient assessments, group therapy facilitation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
