About Genesis Perinatal Genesis Perinatal Support & Counseling Center is Southern Oregon's dedicated home for perinatal mental health care. Founded by Amirah David, MA, LPC, PMH-C, our practice exists to support individuals and couples through one of life's most profound — and most under-prepared-for — transitions: becoming a parent. We provide trauma-informed, evidence-based care for the most common and most undertreated complications of childbearing: Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) Postpartum depression and anxiety Birth trauma Pregnancy and infant loss Relationship strain and identity shifts in new parenthood NICU and high-risk pregnancy support PMADs affect 1 in 5 new parents. We're building a team that takes that statistic seriously. The Role We're looking for a passionate, part-time Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our growing team. We are starting from humble beginnings, so as referrals come in, your caseload will increase to a maximum of 25 client hours per week. You are entering a startup environment where working harder will directly benefit both you and the organization. You'll work with expectant and new parents (and their partners) across Southern Oregon, both in our Phoenix office and via telehealth.
Caseload:
10-20 client hours per week
Compensation:
$60-$75 per client hour, DOE and credentials
Schedule:
Flexible — you set your availability within practice hours and availability of clients
Status:
W-2 employee, semi-monthly pay (1st and 15th) via
Gusto Setting:
Hybrid (in-office at 133 S. Main Street, Phoenix, OR + telehealth via our HIPAA-compliant EHR)
Who We're Looking For Required:
Active, unencumbered Oregon LPC license in good standing with OBLPCT or appropriate licensing organization Genuine, demonstrated interest in perinatal mental health — through prior coursework, training, lived experience, prior clinical work, or a clear desire to grow in this niche Comfort with trauma-informed, evidence-based modalities (CBT, ACT, IFS, EMDR, attachment-based work, somatic approaches, etc.) Willingness to be credentialed with major commercial insurances and OHP/CCO panels (we handle the credentialing process) Strong clinical documentation skills Preferred but not required: PMH-C certification (or in progress) through Postpartum Support International Already Credentialed with Jackson Care Connect, or commercial insurance companies Direct clinical experience with PMADs, birth trauma, perinatal loss, or NICU families Couples or relational therapy experience Prior group practice experience Bilingual Spanish/English You'll thrive here if: You see the perinatal period as a meaningful clinical specialty rather than an occasional case type You want mentorship from a clinician with deep perinatal expertise You prefer a focused, mission-driven practice over a generalist setting You value a sustainable caseload that protects clinical quality and your own well-being What We Offer Mentorship from Amirah David, LPC, PMH-C — over a decade of perinatal mental health experience. Includes regular case consultation, niche development support, and a clear pathway toward your own PMH-C certification if you want one. Competitive hourly rate of $60-$75 per client hour W-2 employment with payroll, tax withholding, and Oregon paid sick leave handled through Gusto Full administrative support — credentialing, billing, scheduling, intake screening, and EHR (Ensora Mental Health) all handled by the practice Hybrid flexibility — dedicated in-office space at our Phoenix location plus telehealth from home A focused niche — clients arrive ready to do perinatal-specific work, so you spend your sessions doing the work you trained for Room to grow — opportunities to expand your caseload, contribute to community workshops, and help shape the future of the practice
