Job Description

Clinical Mental Health Counseling Internship (Master's Level) Madrigal Consulting and Counseling, LLP is seeking motivated and compassionate graduate-level counseling & social work interns who are passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Our practice provides a supportive learning environment where interns can strengthen their clinical skills while working alongside experienced mental health professionals. Interns will receive individual supervision from a Licensed Clinical Supervisor (LCPC or LCSW) and gain valuable experience in an outpatient mental health setting. What You'll Gain Hands-on clinical experience with a diverse client population Individual supervision from an experienced LCPC or LCSW Training in evidence-based therapeutic interventions Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system Exposure to case coordination, community resources, and interdisciplinary collaboration A welcoming, team-oriented environment that encourages professional growth Internship Responsibilities Participate in client assessments and assist in identifying treatment needs. Develop treatment goals and contribute to individualized care planning. Provide counseling services under supervision using appropriate therapeutic approaches. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the electronic medical record. Coordinate referrals and connect clients with appropriate community resources when indicated. Collaborate with supervisors and the clinical team to provide quality client care. Demonstrate professionalism, ethical decision-making, and a commitment to ongoing learning. Qualifications Currently enrolled in a master's degree program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or Clinical Social Work. Eligible to complete a clinical internship required by your graduate program. Strong communication, organizational skills, some experience in the field of psychology or social work, rapport building skills, and interpersonal skills. Comfortable learning electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications. Passion for serving individuals from diverse backgrounds and a willingness to learn.
