Duties Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and other modalities tailored to individual requirements. Deliver individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions via in-person or telehealth platforms while maintaining clinical documentation standards. Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during acute episodes. Provide specialized counseling services including grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and support for individuals with developmental disabilities or co-occurring disorders. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts and ensure continuity of care in inpatient, outpatient, or community settings. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines using EMR/EHR systems. Engage in clinical research activities and data collection to support program development and quality improvement initiatives. Conduct intake assessments for new clients, ensuring comprehensive understanding of medical terminology and clinical history for effective treatment planning. Requirements Master's degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling or related field from an accredited institution. Valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), (PLPC), (LMSW), (CSW), or equivalent. Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with disabilities in outpatient or inpatient settings. Strong knowledge of mental health assessments, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and clinical documentation standards. Proficiency in evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and art/dance therapy is highly desirable. Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, co-occurring disorders, or chronic pain is preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients effectively through client communication strategies and culturally competent care. Ability to handle crisis situations swiftly while demonstrating strong crisis management skills. Telehealth experience is advantageous; familiarity with HIPAA compliance and medical records management is essential.
