Job Description

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals and families. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, to address various mental health challenges through individual and group therapy sessions. The Counselor will utilize evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques to support clients in their journey towards healing and personal growth. Duties Develop personalized treatment plans based on client needs, goals, and evidence-based practices. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Engage in case management activities, including referrals to community resources as needed. Provide telehealth services as required to accommodate client needs. Qualifications High School Diploma Experience with children and families is preferred; familiarity with special education is a plus. Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques and crisis management skills. Knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation. Familiarity with behavioral health concepts, including addiction counseling, PTSD care, and grief counseling. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders is desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
