DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position provides psychological and counseling services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and co-occurring mental health conditions at the Selinsgrove Center. As a Psychological Services Specialist, DHS, you will perform the following duties:
Team Collaboration:
Serve as the psychological services representative on the interdisciplinary team
Behavior Assessment:
Complete functional behavior assessments and review behavioral and psychological concerns
Support Planning:
Develop recommendations and monitor progress on mental health support actions
Staff Training:
Provide training and demonstrate behavioral strategies to direct care staff
Skill Transfer:
Observe staff performance and guide proper use of support strategies
Counseling Services:
Deliver individual and group counseling to support resident well-being
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
A master's degree in a behavioral science, counseling education, rehabilitation, human development or a closely related field. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
