Work Environment This position offers a unique remote working environment based in Alexandria, Virginia, allowing you to maintain a flexible work-life balance. While this role primarily involves telehealth services, you may also participate in in-person consultations within our outpatient office setting. Full-time team members enjoy a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, while part-time opportunities allow for personalized hours, offering the ability to juggle professional responsibilities with personal commitments. Key Responsibilities Assess and tailor individualized therapy strategies that meet the unique needs of each client through thorough evaluations. Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy, ensuring each session is designed to encourage progress and healing. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and medical staff, to provide a holistic approach to client care, thereby enhancing patient outcomes. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and ethical guidelines, fostering accountability and quality assurance in treatment. Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training, staying updated on the latest advancements in mental health practices. Patient Population / Client Focus Our diverse client population includes individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance misuse. As a therapist at Walden, you will have the opportunity to work with various demographics, adapting your therapeutic approach to meet the specific cultural and social needs of your clients. This role is especially suited for those passionate about helping clients navigate complex emotional landscapes and achieve lasting change. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required. An active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia is mandatory. A minimum of two years of counseling experience is essential, ideally within a clinical context. Demonstrated competence in therapeutic approaches such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance abuse counseling, or trauma-informed care is strongly preferred. A robust understanding of legal and ethical confidentiality standards within mental health practice. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to develop rapport with a varied client demographic. Successful collaboration with healthcare teams and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Preferred Experience Experience working in outpatient settings and managing patient caseloads. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual therapy sessions is advantageous. Specialization in specific therapeutic modalities that resonate with our client base. Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this role is competitive, ranging from
USD 70,000
to 110,000 per year, accompanied by a generous bonus structure.
