Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough initial assessments and provide comprehensive evaluations to understand clients' mental health needs, determining appropriate treatment plans. Deliver a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy. Engage in collaborative case management with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to create a holistic approach to client care. Maintain precise clinical records in compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements, ensuring client confidentiality and care integrity. Patient Population / Client Focus As an LPC, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals seeking help with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our telehealth model allows us to reach clients from various backgrounds and geographical locations, emphasizing accessibility and inclusivity in mental health care. You will directly contribute to improving client outcomes by establishing therapeutic relationships and implementing targeted interventions that promote tangible progress in their mental health journeys. Qualifications Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution. Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia. A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in providing counseling services in a clinical setting is essential. Strong comprehensive knowledge of ethical guidelines and legal regulations governing counseling practice. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to establish rapport and build trusting relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds. Capability to work collaboratively within a team setting, contributing to multidisciplinary care efforts. Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and telehealth platforms to maintain seamless service delivery. Preferred Experience Specialization in areas such as trauma-informed care, substance abuse, family therapy, or couples counseling is highly desirable. Experience with telehealth service delivery, adapting traditional therapeutic techniques to a virtual format. A record of positive client outcomes and engaged participation in supervision or consultation teams.
