Job Description
PURPOSE:
We are seeking part-time bi-lingual and bi-cultural Associate Marriage and Family Therapists(AMFT). Under supervision, the AMFT provides clinical assessment, counseling, and psychoeducation.

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide in-person and virtual clinical counseling to individuals, couples, families, groups, and the community.
Optional:
our Burlingame, CA office is also available for clinicians who want to work with clients in person, however, this is not required. Provide virtual counseling (via BHT's online platform), on-site counseling (optional at our Burlingame office), and on-site and virtual psychoeducation programs to local schools' staff, nonprofit employees, children, and families. On-site work is based on the client's request. Provide occasional vitrual and on-site workshops, seminars, groups, and consultations to BHT clients on mental health topics (e.g. Mindfulness, Stress Management, Diversity Training, Art Therapy). Be willing to work with children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Conduct mental health assessments and screenings of clients. Make recommendations for treatment and other mental health services to the various teams. Provide written reports on assessment findings and work collaboratively with other departments that may be serving the patient or family member(s) of the patient. Provide consultation to staff, family members, and other service providers as needed. Provide crisis intervention services for BHT clients as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
AMFT by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
Minimum education:
a master's degree in a mental health-related field. Fluent in Spanish language. The caseload of 10-15 clients per week with a flexible schedule. Agreement and fit with the BHT mission and values. Current, active AMFT registration in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. Familiarity with and adherence to state and federal laws and regulations, and the AAMFT and CAMFT Codes of Ethics. Openness to offer different types of BHT services besides face-to-face and telehealth counseling services. Ability to communicate effectively and work with individuals and families from a wide range of ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds..
Preferred:
Knowledge of ethnic culture, and ability to provide linguistically and culturally competent mental health services to ethnic communities and families. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and co-workers, strong writing skills, and familiarity with community resources for elders.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
The work is performed in a variety of environments that may include virtual and on-site at BHT's clients' workplace (schools and nonprofit organizations). Deals with diverse clients and demands.
