Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified and empathetic Counselor/Therapist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Counselor/Therapist at Autumn Leaves, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our clients by providing therapeutic support and guidance.
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine clients' mental health needs. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on individual client needs. Provide evidence-based therapy and counseling services to individuals, couples, or families. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and support staff, to coordinate care and provide holistic support. Stay current with developments in the field of mental health and participate in ongoing professional development activities. Foster a safe and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment for clients. Offer crisis intervention when necessary, including assessing and managing clients' safety. Participate in regular supervision and team meetings to enhance clinical skills and share insights with colleagues. Uphold ethical and professional standards in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
Requirements:
Master's degree or higher in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field. Appropriate state licensure or certification as a therapist (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT). Previous experience in providing therapy or counseling services is preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with clients. Excellent communication and active listening skills. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about the latest mental health research and practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Understanding and adherence to ethical guidelines and legal regulations in the field of mental health. Cultural sensitivity and a commitment to providing inclusive and equitable care.
