Job Description
The 14th Circuit of the Solicitor's Office seeks a mental-health counselor to become part of our Multi-Disciplinary Diversion Court. This "alternative-sentencing" program rehabilitates qualifying offenders with treatment and support, as an alternative to prison. The program serves all five counties in South Carolina's 14th Judicial Circuit -- Allendale, Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton and Jasper counties. Our in-house counselor will provide services for participants and assist with case management. The goal is to address the underlying problems that are causing an individual to commit crimes so they become productive members of society. We have impressive recidivism rates and graduation rates.
