Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive clinical counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help individuals navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their personal goals. Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to inform treatment planning. Deliver individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and behavioral therapy. Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure patient safety and stability during acute episodes. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation requirements. Utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions, ensuring seamless patient communication and engagement across various settings. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients with co-occurring disorders, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or chronic pain conditions. Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA privacy standards. Engage in ongoing research and data collection efforts to support evidence-based practice improvements and clinical research initiatives. Provide specialized services such as grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, or pediatric behavioral health as needed. Conduct mental health assessments for patients experiencing trauma or complex psychological issues using diagnostic tools aligned with ICD coding systems. Experience Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in outpatient or inpatient settings within mental health or behavioral health environments. Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, or applied behavior analysis (ABA). Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), including special education settings when applicable. Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols in hospital or community-based settings. Proficiency in clinical documentation standards, medical terminology, CPT coding for billing purposes, and ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10). Telehealth experience is highly desirable to facilitate remote patient care effectively. Knowledge of medical records management and compliance with HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and ethical practice standards. Background in social work or clinical counseling with a focus on behavioral health, mental health assessments, treatment planning, case management, and client communication skills.
