A Mental or Behavioral Health Counselor works with patients to treat mental health problems. Assesses patients and assists with diagnosis, counseling and crisis intervention. Consults with nurses, doctors and psychiatrists. May work with specific populations, such as youth, senior citizens or substance abusers, in group settings, facilities or hospitals.

The Virtual IOP Therapist will be responsible for providing counseling services to patients in outpatient programming meeting remotely. The Virtual IOP Therapist will have knowledge of appropriate assessments, diagnosis and intervention with patients using clinical modalities such as cognitive behavioral and solution-focused therapy. The Virtual IOP Therapist will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation as assigned. This position is on-site at Rolling Hills Hospital — it is not remote. Hours for this position are Monday - Thursday (11:30am - 8:00pm) Enjoy a consistent four-day workweek with Fridays off!
Job Requirements Education:
Master's Degree in the Behavioral Health Field (e.g. Counseling, Social Work, Psychology)
REQUIRED
Current Handle With Care and CPR Certification (training provided)
Experience:
Experience in providing individual and group counseling to individuals in a psychiatric treatment setting; excellent telephone etiquette and tact; ability to interact effectively with persons of widely diverse roles, backgrounds, cultures, and socio-economic classes, those in crisis or resistant or negative toward organization; effective oral and written communication skills; basic data entry skills preferred; organizational, time management, problem solving, crisis management skills necessary; flexibility, creativity, and ability to manage stress necessary.
