$75,000-$100,000+ per year Join a Practice Where You Can Focus on Therapy—Not Running a Business Powell Counseling Center is a growing, therapist-owned group practice seeking a licensed therapist to join our collaborative team. This position is ideal for clinicians who are interested in transitioning into a private practice environment but would prefer the support and stability of a group practice. We provide referrals, credentialing assistance, billing support, administrative support, office space, and clinical consultation so you can focus on what matters most—providing excellent care to your clients. As a female-owned private practice serving the Knoxville area, we value teamwork, clinical excellence, professional growth, and creating a positive workplace culture. Responsibilities Provide individual, family, and couples counseling services Maintain an average caseload of approximately 28 client sessions per week (measured on a quarterly basis) Complete progress notes and required documentation within 7 days of service Ensure documentation meets insurance, legal, and compliance standards Utilize TherapyNotes EMR for scheduling and documentation Respond promptly to referrals and client communication Participate in consultation, team meetings, and collaborative case discussions Maintain all licensure and continuing education requirements Client Populations Applicants should be comfortable working with: Children and adolescents Adults Couples Families While clinicians may develop specialty areas over time, applicants should be willing to work with a variety of presenting concerns and client populations consistent with their training and experience. Qualifications Active Tennessee license required (LPC-MHSP, LMFT, LCSW, LMSW, or equivalent) Strong clinical, organizational, and documentation skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment Commitment to ethical, evidence-based clinical care Strong interpersonal and communication skills Schedule Expectations Consistent weekly availability Willingness to offer evening and/or after-school appointments to meet community demand Commitment to building and maintaining a full caseload Employment Information W2 employee position One-year employment commitment required Approximately three-month credentialing and onboarding period before full caseload development Outside private practice employment is not permitted during employment with the practice Administrative/documentation time available and compensated according to practice policy What We Provide Established referral stream Credentialing support Billing support Administrative support Office space and utilities TherapyNotes EMR access Clinical consultation opportunities Supportive, team-oriented culture Opportunity for professional growth within an expanding practice Who Thrives Here?
