Executive Leadership Position Summary The African American Youth Harvest Foundation (AAYHF) is seeking an experienced Texas Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join the Harvest Trauma Recovery Center (HTRC) as a full-time LPC Assistant Manager. This position combines direct mental health counseling with clinical and operational leadership responsibilities. We are seeking an experienced professional who can provide quality counseling services while helping oversee clinical operations, staff coordination, documentation, compliance, credentialing, billing processes, and continued program growth. HTRC currently provides trauma-informed mental health and supportive services in Austin and is expanding services into Manor, schools, and other community-based locations. As our services grow, we are looking for an experienced LPC who can serve as part of the leadership team and provide additional management and clinical support for our counselors and behavioral health operations. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of professional counseling experience, along with demonstrated experience in leadership, management, supervision, or senior-level clinical responsibilities. Experience with medical or behavioral health billing, insurance reimbursement, NPI/provider credentialing, government-funded programs, and grant or contract compliance is highly desirable. Primary Responsibilities The LPC Assistant Manager will work closely with HTRC and AAYHF leadership to support the overall operation and growth of the Harvest Trauma Recovery Center.

Responsibilities include:

Provide professional mental health counseling and trauma-informed services to children, youth, adults, and families. Assist with the day-to-day management and leadership of HTRC clinical operations. Serve as backup clinical and operational leadership for the Trauma Recovery Center. Assist with the supervision, coordination, and support of LPCs, counselors, clinicians, contractors, interns, and other behavioral health staff as appropriate. Help coordinate caseloads, client assignments, scheduling, and service delivery. Review clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, timeliness, compliance, and reimbursement requirements. Assist with medical and behavioral health billing processes. Work with administrative and billing personnel to ensure services are properly documented and prepared for reimbursement. Assist with insurance reimbursement, claims requirements, payer enrollment, and provider credentialing. Assist with NPI enrollment and other professional credentialing requirements. Help determine whether services are eligible for reimbursement under applicable insurance plans, healthcare contracts, government programs, grants, and other funding sources. Assist with quality assurance, clinical reporting, contract compliance, monitoring, and audit preparation. Help maintain appropriate clinical policies, procedures, confidentiality standards, HIPAA compliance, documentation requirements, and professional practices. Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and supporting additional LPCs and other qualified behavioral health professionals as HTRC grows. Assist with developing clinical operations for Austin, Manor, school-based programs, and future HTRC service locations. Participate in leadership meetings and program planning related to the continued growth and replication of the Harvest Trauma Recovery Center model. Minimum Qualifications Applicants must meet the following requirements: Current and unrestricted Texas Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in good standing. Minimum of five years of professional mental health counseling experience. Demonstrated leadership, management, supervisory, or senior clinical experience. Experience working in behavioral health, mental health counseling, trauma recovery, healthcare, nonprofit, school-based, or community-based settings. Experience providing counseling services to individuals affected by trauma, violence, grief, crisis, behavioral health challenges, or other significant life circumstances. Strong understanding of clinical documentation and professional recordkeeping requirements. Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to provide direct counseling services while also supporting the management and operation of a growing behavioral health program. LPC Associate status alone does not meet the minimum qualifications for this position. Applicants must be fully licensed as an LPC in Texas. Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas: Clinical leadership and staff supervision Trauma-informed counseling and trauma recovery Behavioral health program management Medical or behavioral health billing Insurance reimbursement and claims processing Medicaid, managed care, or other third-party reimbursement systems NPI enrollment and provider credentialing Electronic health records and clinical documentation systems Government-funded behavioral health programs Federal, state, county, municipal, or healthcare-funded contracts Grant-funded mental health programs Quality assurance and utilization review Clinical monitoring and audit preparation School-based mental health programs Community-based behavioral health services Professional and Credentialing Requirements The selected LPC must maintain all professional credentials and requirements necessary to independently provide counseling services in Texas.

Requirements include:

Current Texas LPC license in good standing Professional liability/malpractice insurance Required continuing education and professional credentials Active NPI or ability to obtain required NPI/provider credentials Required background checks and professional documentation Compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality, clinical documentation, recordkeeping, safety, and quality-assurance requirements Willingness to complete additional credentialing with insurance companies, healthcare organizations, government agencies, and other funding sources as required Candidates who already have experience with NPI credentialing, insurance enrollment, medical billing, Medicaid or managed care reimbursement, government contracts, or grant-funded behavioral health programs are strongly encouraged to apply. In addition to our Austin operations, AAYHF is preparing for expanded services in Manor, schools, and other community-based locations. As client demand increases, we anticipate adding additional LPCs and other qualified counselors to our clinical team. The LPC Assistant Manager will play an important role in helping us build the clinical infrastructure necessary to support this growth while maintaining high standards for counseling, documentation, compliance, billing, reimbursement, and client care. We are seeking an individual who wants to do more than maintain a counseling caseload. We are looking for an experienced professional interested in helping lead, strengthen, manage, and grow a community-based trauma recovery program.
