In this vital role, you will serve as a relatable, knowledgeable guide who leverages lived experience to foster hope, resilience, and self-advocacy. Your energetic approach will inspire clients to embrace positive change, navigate crises confidently, and build sustainable recovery strategies. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing behavioral health challenges while working within a supportive, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Provide peer support by sharing personal recovery experiences to motivate and empower clients. Assist individuals in developing personalized recovery plans that include goal setting and action steps. Offer crisis intervention and crisis management support during urgent behavioral health situations. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage behavioral change and enhance engagement. Collaborate with clinical teams to coordinate care and ensure clients receive appropriate services. Document interactions accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, maintaining confidentiality at all times. Mentor clients through emotional challenges, fostering resilience and self-efficacy in their recovery journey. Skills Strong understanding of behavioral health, mental health counseling, and addiction counseling principles. Proven ability in crisis intervention and crisis management with a calm, proactive approach. Excellent mentoring skills with a compassionate, nonjudgmental attitude. Proficiency in social work practices and familiarity with EHR systems for documentation. Skilled in motivational interviewing techniques to facilitate client engagement and motivation. Effective communication skills tailored to diverse populations with varied needs. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
