Full Job Description Practice Overview:
Thrive Counseling & Wellness PLLC is an El Paso based private practice offering a supportive environment for both clinicians and clients. Owned by three licensed therapists with a combined 23 years of clinical experience. We seek to offer wisdom, education, support and work-life balance to our fellow clinicians. Our goal as a client-centered practice is to be a stable and supportive place for individuals, couples and families to explore and heal the parts of themselves they wish to change. We work out of a beautifully renovated Victorian home in Uptown El Paso that is modern, clean and sophisticated promoting a nurturing and positive experience when it comes to the mental health needs of our community. On site we have four individual therapy rooms, a playroom, activity room, waiting room, and administrative office. Plenty of parking is available for therapists and client's. We recently opened a second location with 6 clinical offices. Administrative support is provided and we handle all claims submissions, collect copayments, facilitate communication with clients as needed, complete insurance verifications, and insurance credentialing.Position Description:
The outpatient therapist will provide culturally competent mental health services to individuals and families who are experiencing varying levels of difficulties due to life situations or mental health concerns. Full time is seeing/completing 24 client hours per week, and we are hiring exclusively full-time.Major Areas of Responsibility:
Provide high quality, compassionate, and ethical outpatient mental health therapy to clients as scheduled. Work as a general clinical practitioner to conduct individual, group, couples, and/or family therapy following state regulations and professional licensure laws Complete clinical documentation (i.e, diagnosis, progress notes, and treatment plans) within 72 hours of date of service (recommended to be completed daily) Communication with office administrators as needed Actively participate as a positive member of the clinical environment. Maintain good standing with the appropriate board and insurance entities. Complete all recommended continuing education requirements Stay current with updated research and best practices. Be aware of community referral sources and refer when necessary. Secure client information per HIPAA standards. Maintain case files within electronic health record (EHR) that are up to date as described in the Standard Operating Procedures. Perform other duties as assigned (including but not limited to completion of Social Security/Disability forms, authorization and billing forms, phone calls, and participating in case consultation meetings). Attend consultation groups, trainings and staff meetings as scheduledRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A general understanding of family systems and their impact on mental health within the family Skill in applying varied interventions with individuals/families in crisis Skill in working with at least 3 of the following populations: children, adolescents, adults, couples and families Skill in working with a variety of cultures Skill in working independently and implementing time management strategies Ability to provide necessary self-care Ability to demonstrate positive team interactions with other clinic staff Awareness of personal strengths and appropriate timing for referralsEducation and Experience:
A masters or doctoral degree in a mental health-related field Licensed within the State of Texas and credentialed with at least three insurance companies (once hired). Previous experience in home-based mental health, office-based counseling and/or school-based counseling protocol, and/or knowledge of EHR are desirable but not requiredBenefits:
