As a Licensed Counselor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding individuals through their mental health journeys. You will provide compassionate support and evidence-based therapeutic interventions to clients of all ages, including children and families. Your expertise in various counseling techniques will empower clients to overcome challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve personal growth. What you'll do Conduct thorough assessments and diagnostic evaluations to understand client needs and develop tailored treatment plans. Provide individual counseling sessions utilizing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Strengths-Based and EMDR therapy. Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients in high-stress situations, ensuring their safety and well-being. Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality. Engage in ongoing research and professional development to stay current with best practices in counseling and mental health care. Basic qualifications Valid Texas licensure as a fully licensed Professional Counselor. Strong understanding of medical terminology, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding, CPT coding, and behavioral health documentation practices. Team-oriented Professionalism Preferred qualifications Experience in child & family counseling, addiction counseling, grief counseling, or PTSD care. EMDR Trained Familiarity with telehealth platforms for remote counseling services.
