Responsibilities Conduct thorough intake assessments and ongoing client evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapy. Manage crisis intervention and crisis management situations promptly and effectively, ensuring safety for clients and staff. Collect, document, and maintain accurate medical records, clinical documentation, and case notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate treatment planning, case management, and discharge planning efforts. Engage in social work activities including working with families, conducting diagnostic evaluations, and providing child & family counseling. Implement behavior management strategies and applied behavior analysis techniques to support clients with autism or behavioral challenges. Support clients' psychiatric patient care needs through patient assessment, medication monitoring collaboration, and mental health counseling. Facilitate skill-building activities focused on community care, social skills development, and transition planning for individuals with disabilities or developmental delays. Requirements Valid QMHP certification or equivalent licensure required; experience working with individuals with mental health conditions is essential. Demonstrated expertise in crisis intervention, crisis management, conflict management, and de-escalation techniques. Experience working with children, youth, or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation standards, and clinical documentation practices aligned with HIPAA compliance. Proven ability to perform patient care tasks including patient assessment, intake procedures, and psychiatric support. Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral health therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), PTSD care strategies, and addiction counseling preferred. Excellent communication skills for client interaction as well as collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and families. Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally while maintaining a positive attitude in high-pressure environments.
