Healthcare Professionals accepted) Addictions Counselor - Signing Bonus! LCDC—Out Patient Clinic—1 hour South of San Antonio, Texas We are seeking a LCDC | Counselor to work with the underserved population 1 hour South of San Antonio. The LCDC would work as part of a interdisciplinary team assisting the addicted population in the recovery process. Excellent compensation including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and student loan repayment eligibility. Essential Duties And Responsibilities oWork is performed under the direct supervision of the program director with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. oThe objective of this program is to provide substance use treatment and education to adults residing South of San Antonio working in multiple clinic sites. oThe program will emphasize alcohol, and drug use prevention, education, and counseling, as well as behavior modification to maintain sobriety allowing the participant to be successful in their own individualized recovery process. oAll services will be culturally and linguistically appropriate to meet the individual's preferences and needs. oConduct a comprehensive screening, assessment and diagnostics using DSM V criteria. oWork with individuals to develop and implement an individualized, written treatment plan. oConduct chemical dependency counseling sessions and therapeutic processing groups. oComplete transition and discharge summary. oPerform case management as appropriate to ensure individual receives all necessary and required services. oContribute to individual's care by participating in clinical staff meetings to review individual's progress and treatment plan. oEnsure documentation in the clinical record complies with documentation standards. oMaintain strict confidentiality and HIPPA guidelines on all individual's and foundation matters. oRefer questionable issues to program director. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications To Be Successful In The Job oHigh school diploma or GED oLicensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) required oA minimum of two (2) years' experience working in a substance use treatment setting oMust have a valid Texas driver's license and be insurable under agency vehicle policy oGraduate work in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of experience oMust have a valid Texas driver's license and be insurable under agency vehicle policy oMust be 18 years of age or older Preferred Qualifications To Be Successful In The Job oPrefer a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in social, behavioral, criminal justice, or human services field with LCDC oBilingual (English| Spanish) oPrior experience working for community behavioral health programs
