The Preadmission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) Evaluator is responsible for completing accurate and timely PASRR Evaluations (PEs) within their assigned region. You will get to: Primarily responsible for an assigned geographic region in a 19-county catchment area for Mental Illness (MI) PASRR Evaluation coverage, which includes responding to PASRR Evaluation alerts received in the HHSC Long Term Care Portal, traveling to Nursing Facilities to complete in-person assessments, record review, documentation, and participation in initial Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings. Provide support and coverage for completion of Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) and IDD/MI dual PE alerts, as needed. Possess a comfortable understanding of PASRR rules and requirements, including the PASRR process, admission types, and Local IDD Authority (LIDDA)/Local Mental Health Authority (LMHA) requirements. Travel frequently across assigned coverage areas in a 19-county catchment area to conduct PASRR Evaluations and attend IDT meetings. Interact and engage with Nursing Facility and Referring Entity partners positively and professionally, representing Hill Country MHDD in a professional manner. Possess a solid understanding of IDD and
MI PASRR
program eligibility requirements. Other duties as assigned. You'll definitely need: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, sociology, special education, rehabilitation, counseling, behavioral or human services to credential as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-CS) and at least one-year direct experience working with people who have intellectual or developmental disabilities to credential as a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP), and a Habilitation Coordinator. Maintain a valid Texas state Driver's License and auto insurance. Complete and maintain both CPR certification and Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior training within the first 3 months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
