Header Overview Join Billy T Cattan Recovery Outreach as an Outpatient Counselor, where you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, evidence-based mental health services to diverse populations. In this position, you will provide individual and group counseling within outpatient settings, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities to support clients on their journey toward recovery. Your expertise will help foster resilience, promote recovery, and improve overall quality of life for individuals in our services. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine treatment needs. Provide individual and group therapy sessions employing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy as appropriate. Implement evidence-based practices including motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care to support clients with co-occurring disorders or complex mental health issues. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards, ensuring accurate medical documentation and records management. Facilitate intake processes and coordinate case management efforts to ensure seamless patient care continuity across outpatient services. Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote therapy sessions, expanding access to mental health support while maintaining high-quality clinical standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, criminal justice system, case management services, recovery coaches, medical professionals, educators, and families—to optimize treatment outcomes and promote client care. Requirements Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred Valid
LPC/ LCSW/ LCDC
licensure or certification in counseling or social work as required by Texas regulations. Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution. Demonstrated experience in outpatient mental health settings with familiarity in clinical research and documentation standards. Proficiency in electronic records management systems. Strong skills in crisis management and behavior management. Experience delivering telehealth therapy services using secure platforms; familiarity with HIPAA and Title 42 CFR compliance is essential. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations in various stages of substance use recovery while demonstrating compassion and professionalism.
