Job Description

Pursuit of Happiness specializes in in-home counseling for children in foster care, and we provide individual and child-centered family counseling across Texas. Qualified applicants must be able to provide their own transportation, have a full LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LP license (sorry, no interns/associates), carry liability insurance, have experience working with children 3 and up, and --most importantly-- have a passion for helping kids. You can expect to be paid well. Working with just 15 kiddos per week will have you on track to take home over $60k per year. A 25 patient weekly caseload brings home over $100k. We have a couple of counselors who take home over $200k per year! We love paying for your hard work! Serving this population will qualify you to apply for

STUDENT LOAN FORGIVENESS!

Currently that is up to $60, 000 paid off your student loan debt over a 3 year period. Candidates MUST have experience working with children and be comfortable seeing a wide age range of kids (3 and up). Kids in foster care can be any age so this flexibility is required. Our systems are on the cloud, eliminating the need for papers. You will not be responsible for a billing log or any other paperwork other than your notes. We are a very counselor-centric organization that tries to make things as easy as possible for our therapists so that you can focus on what you love doing, seeing patients! These kids need consistent, quality care. Are you willing to commit to being clinically available for the children on your caseload throughout their time in foster care (typically 1 year but sometimes longer)?
