EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED
Performs assessment, diagnosis and treatment with consumers. Provides individual, family and group intervention when appropriate. Possess knowledge and understanding of treatment modalities which will benefit the individual consumer. Must be eligible to be certified in CPT, PE, or EMDR. Knowledge of military culture and military related trauma. Possess skills to document clinical services provided in a timely manner no later than 48 hours following consumer interaction. Participates as a team member on the collaborative team for treatment of consumers. Provide professional evaluations, decisions, and recommendations for treatment. May perform emergency assessments as needed. Acts as liaison between all appropriate agencies, physicians, and community resources for purposes of admission, treatment and discharge planning. Performs related work as required and assigned.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, or related field required. Must be licensed as a LPHA or LPHA-A. Must be able to obtain and maintain credentialing as a Qualified Mental Health Professional through training and competency evaluations for employment in this position. Prefer applicant to be a veteran or active in military service. Prefer applicant to have 2 years' experience providing treatment to individuals with military background.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Considerable knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques and practices of therapy and interpersonal relationships, the functioning of social service or treatment facility community resources and how to use them effectively. Ability to learn about and implement trauma-informed care practices within the scope of work for the position. Must have and maintain a level of general health that permits the performance of the job duties and ability to maintain regular attendance as set forth in Center policies and procedures. Must be able to perform skills necessary for CPR, First Aid, and PMAB certification including but not limited to lift or support 30 lbs., ability to kneel on either knee, or stand from kneeling position. They must have reliable transportation and travel locally and regionally 15% of the time routinely within the service area. Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills and have time management and organization skills. Must have knowledge to do clinical documentation.
