Marriage & Family Therapy Full Job Description Job Summary Crestview Christian Counseling Center is seeking a compassionate, clinically skilled, and faith-centered Licensed Mental Health Professional to join our counseling and prevention ministry. Counselors will provide individualized care through evidence-based therapeutic approaches while creating a welcoming, authentic, and supportive environment for each client. The Licensed Mental Health Professional will play an important role in helping clients navigate life's challenges and work toward meaningful change. Responsibilities Conduct thorough intake assessments and clinical evaluations to better understand each client's personal needs, difficulties, strengths, and goals for counseling. Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans and recommend an appropriate course of counseling. Provide counseling services for children and adolescents, including partnering appropriately with parents or legal guardians throughout the counseling process. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, which may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral interventions, trauma-informed therapy, grief counseling, and other clinically appropriate modalities. Provide compassionate and professional support to clients experiencing difficult life circumstances, emotional concerns, relationship challenges, grief, trauma, or other mental health needs. Respond appropriately to crisis situations and utilize sound clinical judgment to support client safety and stability. Integrate a Christian worldview and faith into the counseling process when appropriate and consistent with the client's needs, preferences, and informed consent. Create an open, authentic, and welcoming counseling environment where clients feel respected, heard, and supported. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with ethical, legal, and organizational standards. Protect client confidentiality and maintain compliance with HIPAA, professional ethical guidelines, and applicable state regulations. Maintain appropriate clinical records, treatment plans, assessments, and progress documentation. Collaborate with other counselors, professionals, families, and community resources when appropriate to support continuity of care. Participate in the ongoing growth and development of Crestview Christian Counseling Center and contribute to a supportive, collaborative team culture. Qualifications Valid Texas licensure as an LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), LMFT-A (Associate), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), or LPC-A (Associate) is required. A master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field. A commitment to providing compassionate, ethical, and clinically sound counseling services. Ability to work effectively with individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. Experience working with children and adolescents is preferred. Experience providing couples and family counseling is preferred. Knowledge of evidence-based psychotherapy approaches and the ability to select appropriate interventions based on client needs. Strong assessment, treatment planning, clinical documentation, and communication skills. Knowledge of HIPAA requirements, professional ethics, confidentiality, and applicable Texas counseling regulations.
