ABOUT THE
ROLEThis is a Full-time University Counselor Educator faculty position with academic rank of Assistant Professor or higher based on the appointees academic and experiential qualifications. The faculty is responsible for academic, service, and scholarship matters consistent with the mission and philosophy of the academic program. While core faculty members participate in university governance and assist the program director to plan, coordinate, facilitate, administer, and monitor all activities related to the program, the primary responsibility is to develop and deliver classroom lectures and skills instruction within the Counseling Programs.

Design, develop, and deliver counseling curriculum aligned with program outcomesTeach courses using interactive methods and educational technologyEvaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedbackMentor and advise students academically and professionallyParticipate in program governance, curriculum assessment, and accreditation effortsEngage in scholarly activities and/or clinical practiceContribute to university committees and service initiativesMaintain communication with students, faculty, administration, and community stakeholdersParticipate in professional organizations and represent the program externallySupport student admissions, progression, and clinical education processes

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

QUALIFICATIONS
)EducationDoctorate in Counselor EducationQualified as Core Counseling Faculty under CACREP standardsLicensure/CertificationLicensed Professional Counselor (Mental Health or School Counseling)ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of clinical experienceTeaching experience in an educational settingKnowledge & SkillsExpertise in core counseling curriculum and at least one specialty areaStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency with educational technology and computer applicationsAbility to work effectively in a collaborative academic environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced experience in curriculum design and program developmentActive involvement in professional counseling organizationsRecord of scholarship, research, or clinical practice beyond minimum requirementsExperience with online or hybrid teaching environments
