Job Description

Mobile Mental Health Therapist (Fully Licensed)
The Mission:
Being a "Beacon" in the Storm At Beacon Therapy of Utah , we believe that while life is often beautiful, some storms are bigger than any one person can face alone. Our practice is built on the idea that everyone deserves a "light on the shore"—a calm, expert voice to help them navigate back to hope and purpose. We are seeking a Fully Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, CMHC, or LMFT) to serve a population that is frequently left in the dark. Many of our clients live in Skilled Nursing (SNF), Assisted Living (ALF), and private home environments. Due to physical limitations, they often cannot access traditional clinics. While the industry has shifted toward telehealth, our clients deeply value and deserve the warm, tangible connection of in-person care. This role is about bringing elite clinical support directly to those who feel the world has moved on without them.
What You'll Do:
Clinical Impact & Course Correction Direct Clinical Care:
Provide expert individual therapy to adults and seniors facing depression, anxiety, grief, and the psychological impact of chronic illness or transition. Bridge the
Access Gap:
Use your mobility to reach those whose physical health creates a barrier to traditional mental health services.
Result-Oriented Therapy:
Follow the Beacon philosophy that "work outside the session leads to lasting change." You will provide clients with concrete tools and hold them accountable for their own progress.
Collaborative Advocacy:
Work as a key member of a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with facility staff and families to ensure holistic care.
Professional Documentation:
Maintain high-standard clinical records in accordance with HIPAA and ethical guidelines, ensuring readiness for varied insurance credentialing. Why Join Beacon Therapy? A Purpose-Driven Environment You will work with a highly appreciative population where your presence is often the primary catalyst for their mental wellness. We value the "human" side of therapy—we are direct, we use humor to help clients "feel lighter," and we treat our therapists like the experts they are.
Professional Autonomy:
Manage your own schedule and travel. This role offers the freedom to work independently across Salt Lake County without the constraints of a traditional office desk.
Clinical Growth:
Receive a $1,500 annual Continuing Education Stipend to support your expertise in geriatric or trauma-informed care. A Supportive "Crew": While the work is mobile, you are part of a team of experienced clinicians dedicated to high-quality care and mutual support.
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Rate:
$50-$57/hour (based on experience).
Full-Time Benefits :
4 weeks PTO/Sick Leave; Health, Dental, and Vision insurance.
Total Rewards:
Annual compensation + benefits package valued between $95,000-$114,000 . To maintain full-time status and eligibility for our comprehensive benefits package, we look for clinicians to maintain a consistent 'anchor' of at least 27 clinical hours per week .
Qualifications Licensure:
REQUIRED
fully licensed in the state of Utah (LCSW, CMHC, or LMFT).
Clinical Approach:
Strong skills in evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, ACT) with an interest in serving the elderly and those with complex physical needs.
Direct Communication:
The ability to be empathetic yet direct, helping clients move past "muscling through" to actual change.
Reliability:
A reliable vehicle and the ability to travel between client locations in Salt Lake County. Ready to help someone find their way back to hope? If you believe that physical limitations shouldn't be a barrier to high-quality care, we want to hear from you.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$50.00 - $57.00 per hour
Benefits:
Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Vision insurance
License/Certification:
LCSW, CMHC, or LMFT in Utah (Required)
