Job Description

Crisis Therapist - Join a Team That Makes a Difference As a Crisis Therapist at HCS, you will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same. This rewarding opportunity allows you to provide short-term therapy and immediate therapeutic interventions for individuals experiencing mental health, behavioral, and substance use crises. Crisis therapists play a critical role in helping individuals navigate some of the most difficult moments of their lives. The primary focus of crisis counseling is rapid stabilization, risk assessment, de-escalation, and providing immediate support to individuals experiencing high distress and complex, life-threatening situations. While the work can be challenging, it is also deeply meaningful. Every interaction is an opportunity to provide hope, restore safety, and positively impact someone's future. HCS values professional growth and clinical excellence. Licensed-eligible clinicians receive weekly clinical supervision toward licensure, along with experience utilizing evidence-based practices focused on crisis intervention, stabilization, and trauma-informed care. Position Specifics Location:
Abingdon, VA Status:
Full-time, Exempt, 8:30am-8:30pm, rotating 12-hour shifts
Compensation:
$55,000 - $57,000 Licensed Eligible/$60,000 - $70,000 Licensed Commensurate with education/experience.
Education:
Master's degree eligible to seek Licensure for Supervision in Virginia or
LPC, LCSW, LMFT.
Experience:
Two years' experience in behavioral health with one year of crisis experience preferred. Benefits
