Overview Join our dynamic mental health team as a Licensed Mobile Crisis Responder, where you will play a vital role in delivering immediate, compassionate crisis intervention and behavioral health support directly in the community. This energetic position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by providing on-the-spot assessments, stabilization, and connection to ongoing care for individuals experiencing mental health or behavioral crises. You will work in diverse settings, including homes, community centers, and hospitals, ensuring timely and effective responses to those in urgent need. Your expertise will help de-escalate situations, promote safety, and facilitate access to appropriate services. Mobile Crisis Response (MCR) training is required. Applicants without current training must successfully complete the required training before independently responding to crisis calls. Responsibilities Respond promptly to crisis calls and dispatch mobile units to assess individuals in various community settings. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including mental health evaluations, risk assessments, and triage to determine immediate needs. Deliver evidence-based interventions such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, and behavioral management strategies tailored to each individual's circumstances. Collaborate with families, caregivers, healthcare providers, and community agencies to develop personalized care plans and ensure continuity of care. Document all interactions accurately using HIPAA-compliant medical records systems; maintain detailed case notes and treatment documentation. Manage crisis situations effectively by de-escalating behaviors through trauma-informed approaches and crisis intervention techniques. Collect data related to patient outcomes and service delivery to support quality improvement initiatives and research efforts. Requirements Valid licensure as a Mental Health Professional (e.g., Peer Recovery Specialist, QMHP, LMHP) with current certification to practice independently. Proven experience working with children, families, or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Strong background in crisis Expertise in crisis management strategies including triage procedures, patient assessment techniques, and acute care interventions. Knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations while maintaining professionalism and empathy. Excellent communication skills for engaging with diverse populations across home settings and community environments. Experience with data collection methods relevant to behavioral health services and research initiatives is preferred.
