Overview We are expanding to the Radford/Christiansburg area seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Mental Health Professional- A to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide Mental Health Skill building ,comprehensive mental health assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapies to diverse adults populations. Your expertise will support individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges, from trauma and grief to developmental disabilities and co-occurring disorders. Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments utilizing clinical documentation standards, ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding, and diagnostic evaluation tools to determine patient needs. Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. Provide direct support through individual therapy sessions Manage crisis situations with effective crisis intervention and crisis management techniques while ensuring patient safety and well-being. Document all clinical encounters accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management, patient care coordination, and treatment planning for individuals with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities. Engage in telehealth therapy sessions to expand access to mental health services across diverse settings including outpatient clinics and inpatient facilities. Requirements Master's degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related mental health field. Valid licensure or certification as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) according to state regulations. Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in clinical settings; experience with pediatrics or geriatrics is a plus. Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, addiction counseling, and grief counseling. Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), medical terminology, medical records management, and clinical documentation standards. Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, or co-occurring disorders is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for client engagement and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams; telehealth experience is preferred. Ability to handle crisis situations effectively using crisis intervention techniques; experience in inpatient or outpatient settings is advantageous.
