We are seeking a Mental Health Skill Builder - PRN to assist us in our mission to provide comprehensive skill building services for adults diagnosed with serious mental illness at our Transitional Independent Living Program. Responsibilities Primarily responsible for providing training and supportive services to persons with mental illnesses living in their own home environment or the supervised living program. This position develops, implements, and completes all required documentation and assist consumers with daily living, medication management, general community support, and residential case management services and skills development. Required Education and Experience Bachelors degree in human services field or related field. One (1) year position related experience in the Mental Health Field with dual diagnoses experience. Registered with the Virginia Board of Counseling as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) or Qualified Mental Health Professional-Trainee (QMHP-T) designation required. Valid Drivers License with a point balance of -6 or higher. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of mental health services provision. Knowledge and competency in Medicaid health services provision and reimbursement Demonstrated skills in program development, implementation and evaluation. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills. Willingness and ability to pass Standard First Aide, CPR, Medication Administration Training. Preferred Three (3) year position related experience in the Mental Health Field with dual diagnoses experience. Experience working with individuals diagnosed with Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, or acquitted is Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidate is preferred but not required. Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry report will be required upon selection.Our Agency maintains a drug-free workplace.
