after-school Wise Enterprise, Inc. is seeking dependable and compassionate Therapeutic Day Treatment (TDT) Counselors to provide behavioral health services to school-aged children in our after-school program.

Richmond, VA - On-site Responsibilities Provide direct therapeutic support and behavioral interventions to children participating in TDT services. Implement individualized service plan (ISP) goals and objectives through counseling, skills training, therapeutic activities, role-play, and behavioral interventions. Assist clients with developing coping skills, emotional regulation, anger management, problem-solving, communication, and appropriate peer interactions. Provide redirection and therapeutic interventions when clients demonstrate behavioral or emotional challenges. Facilitate individual and group therapeutic activities based on clients' identified needs. Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment. Complete required daily progress notes and other service documentation accurately and on time. Communicate effectively with supervisors, clinical staff, families, and other members of the treatment team. Participate in required staff meetings, training, and supervision. Follow all Wise Enterprise, Inc. policies and applicable Virginia behavioral health requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, Education, or a related field preferred. Experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral, emotional, or mental health needs preferred. Experience in behavioral health, therapeutic services, special education, case management, or similar settings is a plus. Must demonstrate strong communication, documentation, and behavior-management skills. Must be dependable and able to maintain the required after-school schedule. Candidates must meet applicable qualifications for providing TDT services in Virginia. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is patient, consistent, engaging, and comfortable working with children who may demonstrate ADHD symptoms, emotional dysregulation, aggression, defiance, poor impulse control, difficulty with peer relationships, or other behavioral health needs. This position is ideal for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in behavioral health while providing meaningful therapeutic support to children and families.
