Job Description

New Path Interventions is seeking qualified candidates who are excited to provide Intensive In-Home and/or Mental Health Skill Building services and who have a desire to positively change the community we serve. We are looking to hire Part time and Full time QMHPs, immediately! Only candidates with the required experience and education should apply. Applicants must be available to take on a minimum caseload of 2-3 clients.
Qualified Mental Health Professional:
Minimum Requirements:
A Qualified Mental Health Professional for New Path Interventions is one who meets the requirements outlined by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services. A QMHP is an individual who is in the health professions and who is trained and experienced in providing psychiatric or mental health services to individuals who have a psychiatric diagnosis. A minimum of one year of clinical experience with adults is required. Candidate should have documented experience developing comprehensive ISPs. Responsibilities Participate in weekly, face to face supervision. Carry a maximum of three cases at one time. Provide direct and indirect care to program participants. Assist in developing and implementing strategies of clients' ISP. Assist clients in developing acceptable habits and meeting goals and objectives of their service plan. Provide progress reports to the program director concerning significant changes and weekly status of client progress toward ISP goals. Assist in training client in techniques that facilitate effective communication, mutual respect, and building lasting relationships. Maintaining knowledge of some characteristics and concepts of mental health disorders. Maintaining current training in First-Aid, Behavior Management Techniques, and CPR Work closely with the Program Director making recommendations based on the participants needs
